cedar bog nature preserve
Join us for The Eclipse, an unforgettable event held at Cedar Bog Nature Preserve in Urbana, OH, USA. Immerse yourself in the wonders of nature as you witness the mesmerizing celestial phenomenon of an eclipse. On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North and Central America creating a path of totality. During a total solar eclipse, the Moon completely blocks the Sun while it passes between the Sun and Earth. The sky will darken as if it were dawn or dusk and those standing in the path of totality may see the Sun’s outer atmosphere (the corona) if weather permits.
Cedar Bog Nature Preserve lies within the full totality range which means we will have around three minutes of totality. We will have eclipse glasses to use along with a riveting presentation from Patrick Craig. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the magic of The Eclipse at Cedar Bog Nature Preserve. Cedar Bog Association will provide eclipse glasses for attendees. Mark your calendars! Get your tickets HERE! |

Dragonfly Vineyard & Wine Cellar, 710 W Herr Rd, Urbana, OH, USA It will be a full day of awesomeness at Dragonfly Vineyard & Wine Cellar. It will start with an earlier 10:30 opening with a breakfast menu of homemade sausage gravy and biscuits. And you can add a Dragonfly Mimosa! Then we will watch the beginning of the eclipse in the afternoon peaking in totality for 3 minutes, 17 seconds after 3:00. Then, following that celestial marvel, we will be entertained with another marvel, a rising shining star, Leah Crose and two of her Nashville colleagues, Kyle Austin and Justin Harris. They will be playing from 4:00-7:00. If supplies last, we will also be featuring our Chocolate Raspberry eclipse wine, Noir 03:17 (that stands for the 3 minutes, 17 seconds awesome darkness in the middle of the day!) Plus, we will be serving brats from the wood pellet grill all day long! It would be a good idea to bring your own lawn chairs! AND, by the way, we will be open additional hours the following day on Tuesday, April 9 from 10:30 to 9:00 to bask in the afterglow! |
Eclipse 2024 at Dragonfly Vineyard & Wine Cellar; Champaign County, Ohio
3 minutes, 17 seconds of Totality That's over 3 minutes of total awesomeness for pretty much a once in a lifetime thing. We worked on creating a wine that we hoped would reflect that same awesomeness to honor this celestial moment. This Raspberry wine with natural chocolate flavors is an excellent match for what we were hoping for. As you might expect, the name Noir 03:17 can be interpreted as over 3 minutes of blackness. It's got a flavor so bright, you may need to wear shades...or something like that! |
